Accessing Rip Ride Rockit’s Secret

Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket

As the huge steel structure towered over it’s surrounding buildings may theme park enthusiasts wondered when it was going to get it’t coverage to blend in. The rest of the park had been created to give immersive environments while Rip Ride Rockit was like a wart on the nose of Sunset Boulevard.

Where previous rides in Universal Studios were focused around the story of creating films or being in films. Rip Ride Rockit was purely Roller Coaster. It swoops over the top of the Universal Music Plaza and up to the corner of 7th Avenue, where it bursts though a window in a building facade.

But what is the part of the ride that is so advanced? On this roller coaster you can choose the soundtrack to your adventure. A bit like when you go in for an operation and the surgeon allows you to choose the calming background noise. There is a choice of 5 styles of music with 6 songs in each style. As the ride is only 1 Minute 39 seconds long, you will get an edited version.

As the restraints come down you will see a key pad where you make your choice. Make sure to select before the ride takes off or it’ll be Kenny G for you!!
